So, here we are, the part where I tell you a little about myself.

My name is Ophelia Woodley-Heart, and my greatest dream has always been to bring a little more magic, beauty, and wonder into the world. If I had my way, I'd be living in an enchanted woodland surrounded by wildflowers, mossy paths, twinkling lights, and friendly fairies. Sadly, reality had other plans, but I've never stopped believing that magic can be found in everyday life.

Alongside writing books, I am the founder of Heart of Ophelia, a magical little corner created for people who adore beautiful things and believe life should contain a little more whimsy. In a world that can sometimes feel rushed, practical, and lacking in wonder, I wanted to create a place filled with enchanting gifts, whimsical treasures, and beautiful home décor that bring joy, comfort, and beauty into everyday life.

I believe we should surround ourselves with things that make us smile. A pretty mug, a magical story, a beautiful piece of artwork, or a thoughtful gift can brighten even the ordinary moments. Heart of Ophelia is my way of sharing that belief with the world.

For many years, I worked in a career that never quite reflected who I am. Deep down, I have always been a dreamer, a storyteller, and someone who longs to create beautiful things that make people feel happy. So, I am now taking a leap of faith and following the path that feels true to my heart. My greatest hope is that one day, writing books and sharing magical treasures through Heart of Ophelia will become my full-time world.

I am also an author, and you'll find my books nestled amongst the treasures of Heart of Ophelia. Whether writing for children or adults, I love creating stories filled with heart, imagination, wonder, and meaningful moments. I believe stories have the power to transport us to extraordinary places, remind us of what matters most, and keep a little magic alive in our hearts.

I am a mum to my daughter, who is the real-life Ophelia Rose, and she is pure magic. Some of my most treasured memories have been snuggling up together at bedtime and getting lost in beautiful stories. We adore books that rhyme, inspire wonder, and leave our hearts feeling warm. Before long, those precious moments sparked a desire in me to begin creating stories of my own.

I truly believe that books are doorways to other worlds. They allow us to escape, dream, imagine, and see life through different eyes. Through my writing, I hope to create stories that stay with readers long after the final page has been turned.

I am endlessly inspired by woodland walks, mushrooms tucked beneath ancient trees, wildflowers dancing in the breeze, fairy tales, folklore, and the beauty of the natural world. These magical influences weave themselves into everything I create, from my stories to the products you'll find within Heart of Ophelia.

One thing that is especially important to me is authenticity. The illustrations in my children's books are not created using AI. Every piece of artwork has been lovingly brought to life by the wonderfully talented Claire Westwood. When Claire first read my story, she immediately understood the vision I held in my heart. Together, we wanted to create genuinely beautiful books that feel warm, timeless, and authentic. We believe there is something incredibly special about real artistic collaboration, and every illustration has been carefully crafted with care, creativity, and imagination. Our shared love of nature, fairytales, and storytelling has made this partnership incredibly special, and I am proud to call Claire not only a collaborator but also a dear friend.

When I'm not writing or dreaming up new ideas, you'll usually find me adventuring with my daughter, exploring nature, foraging for treasures in the countryside, swimming, caring for my ever-growing collection of plants, or dancing wildly around the house as though nobody is watching. I'm also a little bit of an adrenaline junkie, so anything that gets my heart racing usually sounds like a wonderful adventure.
